How to succeed in playing the recorder!

Welcome parents! This first post is designated to offer some helpful tips on practicing the recorder at home. Your student should have brought their new recorder and book home this week. Inside the book, you will find content about the recorder, how to hold it, proper instrument etiquette and cleaning, fingering charts for playing notes, as well as all of the songs we will learn this year. At the back of the book, they have a practice sheet to help them stay on track. As we start out on recorder, we will be practicing technique and respecting the instruments. Please check in with your child to ensure they are treating their recorder and book with proper care. Should they have any questions at home, I have attached some helpful links that you may share with them if they need help. Happy recorder season!
